Witjira National Park is on the western side of Munga-Thirri (Simpson Desert). Located in this part is over 60 natural artesian springs with Dalhousie Springs being one of them. The spring water comes form the Great Artesian Basin aquifer.
The water is a constant 33 degrees celsius throughout the year. Nothing can quite describe the sensation of dipping into this naturally heated pool, especially during the winter months.
During sunrise the water turns into a pond of liquid gold and life in the outback springs to action.
