The giraffe is known as the tallest living terrestrial animal in the world. This picture was taken one later afternoon in the Moremi game reserve in Botswana. As I drove on one of the isolated tracks, quite close to the track was this lone Giraffe, tall and majestic. I decided to park and watch as he (or she) continued to nibble on the low lying branches of the tree in the foreground completely unperturbed by my presence. A short while later the giraffe walked away and faded into the distance leaving me wondering if he (or she) was all alone or were the rest of the family over the horizon.
