It was towards the end of a day of touring around the Flinders Ranges area when I noticed rain clouds gathering in the distance. This prompted me to head back to camp. So looking at the map I turned off the main track to take a short cut via the Moralana track.
As I came around the first corner, in the distance was the Elder Range. I have taken this track several times before during my visits to the area. But this time what I saw was nothing like what i had seen before. Heavy storm clouds had gathered over the landscape almost dwarfing the Elder Range yet a perfectly placed pocket of light illuminated the peaks defining the sharp edges.
